Everyday calls
Ask a Polish shop about stock, collection or delivery · EVA
The tracking page has not answered your question, or the shop says to call before collecting. EVA can ask an eligible Polish business for the missing detail and return an answer you can read.
Make your first callThe courier called in Polish and I did not understand
Check the official tracking page first. You can write “Proszę o SMS z informacją o dostawie” to ask for delivery details by text. If a call is still needed, use a verified, supported business number. EVA cannot answer the incoming call or translate it live.
From an unanswered question to a useful next step
Illustrative scenario, not a real customer call. Prices, times and replies below are examples, not offers.
Your request
Ask the shop whether my order is ready at the branch, where to collect it and when the collection desk closes. Do not change the delivery or buy anything.
An example of the returned answer
The shop says the order is ready at the collection desk until 19:00. Staff require the order reference and the buyer’s own identification. A different collection date was not confirmed; no order changes were made.
Your next step
Check the official order details before travelling. Keep identification and collection codes with you; do not put parcel-locker or one-time codes in the call request.
Try the official tracking or contact page first
Use the shop’s or carrier’s official website and the contact details from your order. A tracking page, delivery-management option or written chat may be enough. Do not call a number or pay a delivery fee just because an unexpected message asks you to. EVA cannot check your account or authenticate a message for you.
For a stock check, identify the exact item
Give the shop branch, product name or model, size, colour and quantity. Ask whether it is physically available at that branch or must be ordered, the current price and collection hours. “Czy ten produkt jest dostępny w tym sklepie?” asks whether the item is available in this shop. Stock information can change after the call.
For an order, ask one concrete status question
Provide only the order reference and details needed for the question. Ask whether the order is ready, where collection happens, the arrival window or the correct support channel. Never include payment cards, passwords, one-time codes or parcel-locker pickup codes. A business may require you to complete identity checks yourself.
A question is not a change to your order
Say whether you only want information. Buying an item, accepting an extra charge, changing an address, cancelling an order or approving a refund is a separate decision. EVA should return the available options when the conversation reaches a commitment you have not authorized. It cannot guarantee rerouting or a delivery time.
Prepare a fallback if the call cannot resolve it
Ask for the official support route and any reference or next step the business can give. Short codes, premium numbers and unsupported destinations are not suitable EVA targets; use the official online channel instead. Complex phone menus or a requirement to speak to you personally can also prevent a useful answer.
Example shop inquiry — not a completed purchase
Call the shop branch I selected in Gdańsk. Ask whether the exact model and colour I specified are in stock there, the total price and whether collection is possible on my chosen Saturday. Return the information; do not order, reserve or pay.
Check what was actually confirmed
Look for the exact item, branch, reported availability, price and collection window. For an existing delivery, distinguish an estimated arrival from a confirmed arrangement. The result records what the business said; it is not proof that a parcel was delivered.
